João Sattamini and MAC Niterói have art collections that gather one of the most important group of art works by Lygia Clark from her period of maturation and conquest of the organic-space in the 50’s. This group of works is currently at an exhibition at MAC Niterói, which shows her passage through geometric abstraction art and the genealogy itself of a sensibility focused on the recovery or overflow of art to life. This outbreak of rational paradigms of concrete art to the organic – alive – environment is what inspires the title that quotes Karl Marx and names this exhibition: “Lygia Clark: All that is solid melts into air – works from the collections João Sattamini / MAC Niterói”. On display until the 30th of November.
