Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, an institution from Secretaria de Estado da Cultura (brazil’s culture secretariat), in partnership with Fundação José e Paulina Nemirovsky (an art foundation), present the exhibition Arte Construtiva na Pinacoteca de São Paulo. With 64 works of art, among paintings, objects and photographs, produced between the 1950’s and 1960’s, the exhibition gathers a significant set of works by Brazilian artists that were founders of the abstract, geometric and constructive art tradition in the country. Artists such as Hélio Oiticica, Geraldo de Barros, Judith Lauand, Lygia Clark, Mira Schendel, Ivan Serpa, Willys de Castro and Alfredo Volpi, among others, participate in the exhibition that is on display until the 29th of March of 2015.
